There are two types of solar chargers: with build in accumulator and without one.

The solar charger with build in accumulator is rather additional accumulator with possibility to charge themselves from sun. Usually it charges from network before journey to charge mobile phone after some time. Most this “solar charges” has very small active area and thus needs a lot of time for complete charging from sun.

The solar charger without build in accumulator has enough active area to charge phone directly from the sun. In this case you have not to charge anything except mobile phone (or other device which you need to charge) and thus time for complete charging from sun is similar as from net. So it can easily charge almost any mobile phone or MP3-player at sunny weather.
